Vanessa Ivins is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She obtained a Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work from Rutgers University. Vanessa has eight years of clinical mental health experience serving the child, adolescent, and adult populations. To ensure she provides the most effective and up-to-date therapeutic services, Vanessa completes continuing education training annually. Most of Vanessa’s experience was garnered through working in community behavioral health by facilitating individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. She is bilingual and enjoys showing cultural awareness and support to Spanish-speaking clients.
Vanessa uses a variety of therapeutic practices to meet the needs of her clients. To meet the needs of children and adolescents, she prefers the use of traditional talk therapy along with play therapy, art therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) strategies. Vanessa is trauma-trained and uses a combination of traditional talk therapy approaches as well as EMDR strategies to meet the needs of her adult clients. She specializes in treating adults impacted by domestic violence. Vanessa provides everyone with a safe and confidential environment where they can talk about the most difficult experiences affecting their life. Vanessa empowers all of her clients to face whatever challenges come their way and to persevere through no matter the level of difficulty.
Vanessa is currently accepting clients of all ages with availability for 60-minute therapy sessions. All sessions are facilitated using a HIPAA-compliant virtual platform. Vanessa is available for early morning therapy sessions several days per week. Her hours of availability consist of early morning, evening, and weekend hours.

I am a trauma-informed, Jungian-oriented psychotherapist with analytic training. My work is grounded in depth psychology and an understanding of how past experiences shape present patterns.
I specialize in personality disorders and am certified in this area, as well as in grief work. Anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges are often interconnected with these concerns and are an integral part of the work we do together.
Dr. Milspaw graduated with her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, in Philadelphia, PA. Her theoretical orientation consists of a complementary blend of psychodynamic and family systems theories. She has extensive training in psychological assessment and multicultural competence. Her dissertation examined how the use of humor differs across cultures within the context of health care.
Dr. Milspaw has 25 years clinical experience working with children, parents, and families. She completed her assessment practicum in a forensic setting utilizing objective and projective psychological assessments. Her pre-doctoral internship consisted of intense in-home work with families experiencing severe mental illness. Following completion of her doctoral training, she worked in private practice continuing her experience serving families and children. She owns a private practice, Gallant Psychological and Forensic Services, that recently received an award for 6 consecutive years of being named the best psychologist in Camp Hill, PA. The forensic part of her practice consists mostly of helping families who find themselves involved in the Court system as a result of divorce and custody conflicts.
Dr. Milspaw is active in the Pennsylvania Psychological Association (PPA) and is co-chair of the been on PPA’s Child Custody and Forensic Committees for 20 years. She is currently co-chair of PPA’s Child and Family Forensics Committee. She sat on the Pennsylvania Taskforce on Supervised Visitation and led the development of a free training video and accompanying paperwork for families and children in need of a supervised visitor.
