Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. A few things you should know about me are that I have a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with a Specialization in Clinical Counseling. I specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety and depression. I have worked in psychiatric facilities, private practice, and clinical research.
I received my first counseling license in 2015 in Indiana and my License as a Professional Counselor in Texas in 2017. I am EMDR trained. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and Autsim.
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist who integrates clinical expertise with Christian values to support emotional healing, resilience, and personal growth. I believe that true healing occurs when mind, body, and spirit are nurtured together. My work focuses on helping clients manage stress, regulate emotions and move forward with hope, faith, and intention while honoring each individual's unique journey.
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida and my graduate studies at the University of South Carolina. Throughout my career, I have served diverse populations, including children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults. Services are provided to individuals who are physically in the states of SC, FL, GA, PA and OH.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family and friends.
I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing trauma-informed therapy for teen girls and young adult women. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation to support growth and emotional resilience. I hold a Master of Social Work and have professional experience across school-based services, community mental health, and private practice. I specialize in emotional regulation, self-awareness, identity development, and helping women step into the empowered version of themselves. My focus is to create a grounded, supportive space where clients can navigate their emotions, develop clarity, and move confidently toward who they want to become.
I support individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, and life management. I believe every emotion carries a message, and through exploration, we uncover deeper meaning. My mission is to guide and empower you to restore your sense of self, align with your values, and find emotional freedom. Life’s pressures often lead to masking our true selves, causing unfulfilling choices. I aim to help you overcome these challenges and reconnect with your authentic self.
Welcome! I'm Katie Hummel, LCSW, located in St. Petersburg, FL. I specialize in OCD, anxiety, trauma, and self-esteem. If you find yourself asking, “Who am I anymore?” “What do I want?” “Why do I keep suffering?” “Will I ever feel happy?” or “Why can’t I connect?" know that you can break free and thrive! In therapy, we work as a team—I’m right there with you, straightforward, down-to-earth, nonjudgmental, and actively engaged. I emphasize Embracing, Evolving, and Thriving—not just coping. My goal is to help you feel grounded, confident, and like yourself again. I bring warmth, honesty, and humor so therapy feels real, not clinical.
Prioritizing your mental health is the foundation for a stable, fulfilling life. I know that the first step—reaching out for help—is often the hardest, so I want to acknowledge your courage in being here. I bring 30 years of experience as a board-certified psychiatrist to our work together.
