I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in the Bay Area, and I believe healing happens in spaces where you feel safe, understood, and not judged. I bring a warm, grounded presence to therapy and aim to create a relationship where you don’t have to “perform” or have it all figured out.
I’m someone who values creativity and expressive arts, and I often weave gentle, creative approaches into sessions when helpful. My work is trauma-informed and collaborative, meaning we move at your pace and center what feels most supportive for you.
In my clinical work, I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and elements of ACT. I have a special interest in trauma healing, nervous system regulation, attachment patterns, anxiety, and supporting clients who feel stuck in old patterns but are ready for change.
I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, and identity exploration. Whether you’re coming in with something specific or just a sense that “something isn’t working anymore,” we can explore that together with curiosity and care.
Hello,
Welcome to my profile!
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and I have been in the mental health field for the past 10 years. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling. I've supported individuals presented with Substance abuse, PSTD, Depression, Anxiety, and many more. I've utilized different modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I've enjoy supporting with individuals that are going through different walks of life
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (2023) with nearly 30 years of experience in the field of social work. I have extensive experience supporting adults, older adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, caregiver stress, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence‐based care. I focus on helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.
My background spans behavioral health, medical social work, hospice, and community‐based services. I have worked in hospitals, group homes, county systems of care, and multidisciplinary teams. This broad experience allows me to understand the emotional, social, medical, and environmental factors that shape a person’s well‐being — and to tailor treatment to the whole person.
I am a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with 35 years of experience. I am a caring and dedicated therapist who often goes the extra mile when it will assist a client. I highly value creative and artistic expression, and I help my clients tap into their strengths and passions. I am able to do this, in part, based on my rich background in humanities and the arts (literature and theatre, expository and creative writing, acting and directing, and music: creative fields in which I've directly participated and/or taught at the undergraduate and graduate level). Clients I work with especially well are curious, introspective, willing to dig deep, and interested in becoming more compassionate towards themselves and others. They aren't afraid to look at their feelings in the here-and-now of the therapeutic relationship.
Having worked in highly diverse settings and at multiple levels of care, (often with highly undeprivileged and stigmatized client, such as adolescent and sex offenders, inner-city alcoholics and substance abusers, and severely mentally-ill patients in psychiatric civil commitment ) I am able to help with a wide range of concerns, but some areas in which I am particularly skilled are major depression, bipolar disorder, adult ADHD, addictions, impulsive, compulsive, or excessively inhibited behavior, relationship issues, life crises, and the search for personal meaning.
I work with women of color who are tired of always being the strong one. If you’re carrying old wounds that still feel fresh, stuck in patterns that don’t even feel like yours, or wondering when it’s finally your turn to be cared for; I’m here for that. You won’t have to code-switch with me. Let’s set down the masks you wear just to move through the day.
In this space, you get to be fully seen--the soft parts, the angry parts, the parts you’ve hidden just to keep the peace. All of you is welcome here. Together, we’ll make room for the messy, the painful, and the hopeful parts of your story, at a pace that feels right for you. Healing doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to start with a space where you’re safe to be real.
I have worked in the mental health field for approximately 10 years in different capacities. I have worked in the community assisting families, working with low income and more affluent individuals, parenting and assigning with supporting children with behaviors impacting their lives. I am committed to helping individuals learn to build healthier relationships with themselves as well as listening to your wants/needs. My work focuses on assisting you in targeting ineffective behaviors, habits, beliefs that impact your life. I believe in collaboration to helping you reach your goals.
Welcome! I’m Annemarie, and I would love to be your guide on your journey toward peace and self-discovery. Seeking support is such a huge step and often times a difficult one to take. But here you are! Now that the difficult part is behind you, let’s talk about how I can help.
As an LCSW, I have worked with a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges which include anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief and loss, addictions, and life transitions.
I enjoy connecting with clients by learning their individual stories. By understanding my clients, I can connect them to a specific modality for treatment. I am empathic and caring. My goal is to support each of my clients reflect on their lives and become emotionally strong.
I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) beginning my career as an ER nurse in 2007. I specialize in helping adults and teens with ADHD understand their symptoms, improve focus and organization, and build confidence through ADHD evaluations and medication management.
Many of my clients are busy professionals, parents, and students who struggle with inattention, restlessness, or feeling “stuck.” My goal is to help you develop clarity, structure, and balance so you can feel more in control of your life. I also treat anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, which often overlap with ADHD, using an integrated and evidence-based approach.
I provide telehealth psychiatric care throughout California — including Sacramento, Folsom, Roseville, the Bay Area, Modesto, Fresno, and Southern California — through Grace Mental Health Resources, offering accessible, compassionate, and individualized treatment from the comfort of your home.
